Helping Those In Need

At Celebration, we don't believe it's the government's job to bless those who are in need.  We believe it's the church's job.  AND WE ARE THE CHURCH!

Feeding those who are hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the prisoner, touching the sick and proclaiming liberty to the captives is what it's all about at CBC!  Both our lay people and our leadership spend time every week reaching out and spending time with those who are having a tough time in this life.

We believe that Christianity doesn't hide itself in a church building and "play the game" with religious words, suits and ties.  We believe our Lord spent time with those that were hurting - the hungry, the addicted, thieves, liars, and harlots that realized their need. He went where they were.  Jesus didn't stay in the temple and beg them to come in.  The Bible says He dwelt among them!  He came to seek and to save those who are lost.  How can we do anything less?  At CBC, we're not into having ever more Bible studies and just circling our wagons while the world sits in darkness and dies without Christ.  We're into spending time with those that need to hear the message of God's grace.

We consider it our privilege to be partnered with the Hope House in Middletown.  We are involved in many ways such as picking up the folks every week for church, our laymen preaching there every Friday night, holding Sunday night services, feeding folks in the kitchen, gathering food, clothes and other needy items plus doing all we can do to help the ministry and the people who work there.  Many of these dear people have been saved and baptized in our church.  We count it our privilege to count them a part of the Celebration family!

Some people, such as Steve Osborne, (pictured in the orange jacket) have really grown in the Lord and are living productive lives now for the glory of God.  The Lord has given Steve a car, gotten him a job, and has blessed him with a "renewed mind" as he is not only doing well, but also pointing others to the same Jesus that saved him.  Steve said he doesn't need alcohol any more.  He's addicted to Jesus Christ!

Praise the Lord for He hath done great things!
